Where to begin?
I started this blog to keep be able to have a record of all the happenings on our farm, and to be able to look back in the future on how it's grown and changed. I guess the first way to start off my posts would be with some background info on our farm and animals. We bought the farm the farm over a year ago for our horses. It started out as an unfenced in almost 8 acre farm. Not long after buying it we fenced in all the open space for our horses and within the last 2 months we have fenced in all of the barn and back area and created a goat pen. We have two Tennessee Walking Horses, a mare and a gelding and they're also mother and son.
We also have a Haflinger/Belgian cross, Quarter Horse, and Thoroughbred all of which are geldings. Of all our horses Hogan is the only one not living with us right now.
He's currently on lease to our local therapeutic riding barn. We also have two goats Smarty and Dolce, who we would like to in the future use for milk.
Next we've got our Poodles! There's (left to right) Princess, K.C., and Lucy. We've never had a breed of dog besides poodles and maybe never will! lol
Then there's the cats. but I don't have many pictures of them so I'll just move onto the chickens.
The Second pic is of them a week ago, and the first is what they look like today. There's 8 hens, and 1 rooster. They're all Barred Plymouth Rock chickens.
I look forward to giving more updates and info as time goes on :)
